     Pangong lake

 When it comes to the most admired tourist attraction in Ladakh, Pangong lake must be on your list. It is also known by another name Pangong Tso which is spread over 12 kilometers and stretches from India to Tibet. An exclusive feature of this lake is, that it does not remain blue for the entire year or even for a day. It keeps on changing the colors from azure to light blue, green, and even grey.

     Khardung La Pass

 Located at a height of 5602 meters, KhardungLa is considered the highest motorable road in the world. This pass also serves as the gateway to Shyok and Nubra valley. In order to visit this pass, it is important to have an inner line permit. However, Khardung La Pass is closed from the month of October to April.

     Sangam

 In Ladakh, Sangam is the union point of Indus river and Zanskar river. This is the point where you can easily find two rivers separately. Indus river is shiny blue in color while Zanskar River appears to be muddy green color. 

     Nubra valley

 Situated at a distance of almost 140km from Leh, Nubra valley lies in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. With dry mountains in the backdrop, Nubra valley is well-known for the Bactrian camel rides, monasteries as well as groves. Enclosed by snow-dusted Himalayan mountains, you can easily reach Nubra valley via Khardung La.

After breakfast, start your sightseeing tour in Leh.

Visit Leh Palace, a nine-story royal palace offering panoramic views of the city.

Explore Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist white-domed stupa offering breathtaking views of Leh and the surrounding mountains.

Explore the Hall of Fame, a museum dedicated to the Indian Army showcasing their achievements in the region.Spend the evening exploring the local market and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Magnetic Hill: Located about 30 kilometers from Leh, Magnetic Hill is a must-visit attraction. It is believed that the magnetic field in the area pulls vehicles uphill, defying gravity. You can park your vehicle at a specific spot, put it in neutral, and witness the mysterious phenomenon.

Gurudwara Pathar Sahib: Situated near Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib is a famous Sikh shrine. It is believed to have been built in honor of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism. Wake up early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh. En route, visit the famous Hemis Monastery, one of the largest and wealthiest monasteries in Ladakh. Reach Leh in the evening and spend the rest of the day at leisure.  Note: It’s important to note that this itinerary assumes you have acclimatized to the high altitude in Leh for at least a day before proceeding to other destinations. Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) is a concern in Ladakh due to its high altitude, so make sure to drink plenty of water, take it easy, and consult with a local guide or healthcare professional if you experience any symptoms of AMS. Also, road conditions in Ladakh can be challenging, so it’s advisable to hire a reliable and experienced driver or opt for a guided tour.
